"Do you know what else helps migraines? Jesus."

Hey y'all! Hope you are all doing well. This week, I am officially one month in which feels a bit crazy to be honest. Had some fun stuff this week so let's get into it! Zone conference last week was pretty great, just really long. It was lovely to meet more of the people in the larger zone. The main focus was the plan of salvation and the importance of acting. There was a whole thing with a rock and how it has to be acted upon and how we should not be rocks! I did think we would be served dinner at the end though so going through the whole thing hungry then being given a cookie was a tad disappointing but now I know what to expect next time. Monday was my first real day and it was really cool! I started with some resource finding for refugees in the morning as well as some conversation practice with a lovely lady. I then headed to a mission lunch which of course went over time but it was great to meet some more new missionaries! I then helped with some physical therapy for a bit and tried to use my not great spanish. People are very patient though so it went ok. Finished off with helping with another class that night and a nice chat with a dear friend. Tuesday was rather similar, minus the lunch, but it was quite funny at physical therapy as a guy came in with his older parents for some help. We chatted a bit and later, once I stood up, he asked if I played a bit of basketball. My Spanish struggled a bit there but it was fun to talk some sports with him! I also got to go walk hinckley (don't be surprised if he is referred to as hink, stink, wink, pinky, etc lol). English class was pretty funny that night as I was teaching sounds to a small group. The w and p sounds were particularly difficult but I learned that when I make a fool of myself, they get the sounds pretty fast! Guess I'll take that trade off! Wednesday was mostly just baking for a baby shower and companionship study, which was my last with sister stocks. Sad that she's released but excited for her to keep going with her life! I could not have asked for a better first comp. Thursday was mostly helping with cleaning again and some other random stuff as well as going to a wedding. They had a fun clip game and Paul got my tag 😂. Friday was the gender reveal which was very exciting!!! I also got fingerprinted so I should be able to start at family haven fairly soon. Saturday was mostly just vibing if I'm being honest. Got to watch a movie with Hermana Vivar, look at cars, do some laundry, and go out with the sisters. The more I go out with them, the more grateful I am that I'm a service missionary, not teaching as, while I'm fine at it, it's far less interesting to me. We had some amazing discussions though and some prayers were answered, which was really cool to be on the answering side of it. Here's a quick explanation for the title of this email though. At one point, we came across a vending machine that had coffee in it which caused some discussion between me and the sisters as I brought up how it helps people with migraines and not all just drink it due to the "cafeteria mormon" attitude to which one sister responded with "do you know what else helps with migraines? Jesus.". I do not fully agree with said statement in the situation but it got a pretty good laugh out of me so I felt I should share. I honestly don't remember when this happened in the week but thought I'd share regardless. I had an amazing experience with my patriarchal blessing which basically confirmed to me that I am exactly where I am supposed to be so I would highly recommend rereading your patriarchal blessing if you have it! Scripture of the week: 1st Corinthians 12: 14-22 "For the body is not one member but many. If the foot shall say, because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear shall say, because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body as it hath pleased him. And if there were all one member, where were the body? But now are they many members yet but one body. And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary" Love, Sister Wynn Photos (ps, it's a new album cause i finally figured out google photos): https://photos.app.goo.gl/87aRvcAfijtAh7xv7
