Lets Party!!!

Hey everyone! I hope it's been a good week! This week was a bit of a party so let's get into it! Monday was pretty chill. One of the sweet ladies I teach invited me to her sons birthday party on wednesday which was so beyond sweet but Ill get more later. Tuesday was pretty chill as I had my usual schedule but I did mess up pretty badly. We finished a lesson in english class so I offered some gummy bears as a reward, as I tend to do. Unfortunately, I forgot that everyone I was teaching does not eat pork or pork products (such as gelatine) due to religion. Oops.... Twas a bit awkward but they were very sweet about it. I also learned there is another service missionary joining that class and got to meet him. He's very nice so it was fun to chat for a bit. Wednesday was mostly chilling with family so yee. I did go to the party though with my mom. The people were so beyond sweet and inviting and my gosh I just love them sooooo much! We had some tasty Arabic food and desserts which were very interesting. My favorite was this dessert that had a brown sugar cookie dough like center and was topped with an icing and peaches. It was genuinely one of the best things I've eaten. I made sure to bring some candy as a gift and was sure to avoid anything haram! Thursday I helped with some cleaning along with my mom which was an absolute party! Had some tasty food and listened to some fun music. Friday I started at family haven which was amazing but very chaotic. Many of the kids have some attachment stuff which means they were literally crawling on me. My knees have not yet recovered lol. They loved to be held as well which, if you know me, i'm not the biggest snuggler when it comes to kids, I prefer to play. I did feel fairly honored though as basically all the volunteers told me they never really do that so I guess they like me? I then had companionship study and then partied with some sisters! We are OBSESSED with the new movie Kpop demon hunters (it's better than it sounds) so we watched some and learned a dance. Twas a bit chaotic as two of the three of us have pots and were not feeling great. Was one of the funnest nights of my mission so far though. Saturday was a bit chaotic as I had a talk I had been procrastinating writing as well as a temple shift and teaching with the sisters. It was great to be back at the temple and I even got to help in Spanish at the veil! I did mess up but it was a very cool experience nonetheless. Teaching with the sisters was a tad boring as basically everything fell through but I got to chat a bit with the sisters so that was great! This morning I gave a talk. yay. Did not expect to speak again so soon if I'm being honest but that's about the week! Scripture of the week: 2 Corinthians 4: 8-9 "we are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down but not destroyed" Love yall, Sister Wynn Photos Here!
